One of a pair of holiday collections by now-defunct Oglio
Records (the other being The
Edge Of Christmas), Coolest
Christmas (1994) appears to have had little or no rational behind its track selection process. Despite that, we're presented with a bunch of, well, cool tunes - most of them classics. What Guy Lombardo and the Cocteau Twins have in common has yet to be determined. (Note that the version of the Bing & Bowie medley included here is the hard-to-find unedited take.)
